Welcome, to the MRF Cricket Sevens website.

The competition is currently in its 21st season! The website will tell you all you need to know about the MRF Cricket Sevens cup and the history of the competition.

The Seven a side cricket tournament was the idea of Mel Pratt.  It was started to raise funds for the S.C.M Cricket club. The first competition took place during the 1987 season. Originally it was played on a full size outfield where bowlers could have a full run up but after the first season , the boundary was brought in and the bowlers run ups were shortened. This was to save time.
